iOS phone settings support


Bluetooth

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device
  2. Tap Bluetooth and turn it on. Ensure it is active even in Airplane Mode by adjusting settings in the Airplane Mode menu.

Wi-Fi Settings

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi and turn it on. Connect to a network for internet-dependent app features.

Notifications

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Notifications, select your Medtronic app, and ensure notifications are allowed.

Critical Alerts and Notifications

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Notifications, select your Medtronic app, and turn Allow Critical alerts on.

Automatic Operating System Updates

Disable automatic updates:

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device.

  2. Tap General, then Software Update, and choose Automatic Updates to disable.

    Only update the operating system when the local Medtronic website or local Medtronic support representative has provided information about compatible mobile device operating systems. Operating system incompatibility could prevent the app from functioning.


Low Power Mode

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Battery and turn off Low Power Mode to ensure you continue to receive Medtronic app notifications.

Background App Refresh

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap General, then Background App Refresh, and ensure it is enabled for your app.

Focus Modes (iOS 15 and later)

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Focus, select a mode, and ensure your Medtronic app is allowed to send notifications.

Reduced Interruptions

Do not enable Reduced Interruptions, as it impairs functionality.


StandBy Mode (iOS 17 and later)

If you are using StandBy Mode on your mobile device:

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap StandBy, then under Notifications, ensure Show Notifications is turned on to continue receiving Medtronic app notifications.

Downtime Setting

If you are using Downtime settings on your mobile device:

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Screen Time, then Downtime, and ensure your Medtronic app is not restricted.

Privacy Settings

If you are using Privacy settings on your mobile device:

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Privacy, select relevant categories, and ensure your Medtronic app has necessary permissions.

Accessibility Settings

Do not enable Assistive Access with Medtronic apps, as it impairs functionality.

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Accessibility and ensure vibration and other settings are configured to support Medtronic app alerts.

Assistive Access

Do not enable Assistive Access with Medtronic apps, as it impairs functionality.


Vibrate on Silent

If you are using Vibrate on Silent settings on your mobile device:

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Sounds & Haptics and ensure Vibrate on Silent is turned on.

Hidden Apps

Do not use Hidden Apps with Medtronic apps, as it impairs functionality.


Maximum Volume Limit

If you are using Maximum Volume Limit settings on your mobile device:

  1. Tap Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Sounds & Haptics, then Headphone Safety, and ensure the volume limit allows alerts to be audible.
