Pump tip: Running a Selftest on your pump

There’s a lot going on inside your insulin pump. For this reason, your pump is equipped to cycle through a full range of tests to make sure everything is functioning properly and on the up and up! This feature is called the Selftest, and during this test, your pump verifies that your audio and vibrate alert systems are working, as well as a slew of other key features. While it runs tests throughout the day behind the scenes, this is an additional test that you can manually select. This can be used for maintenance or to check if your pump is operating unusually. To learn more about the Selftest, how to run it and what to expect while it’s running, consult your user guide.
