About the SmartGuard™ feature:

Designed to maximize the amount of time that glucose levels stay in the range of 70 mg/dL to 180 mg/dL, the SmartGuard™ feature uses sensor glucose (SG) values and meal information to automatically adjust insulin delivery. It can control basal insulin delivery using a SmartGuard™ target value of 100, 110, or 120 mg/dL. It can also automatically deliver a correction bolus to help correct high SG readings over 120 mg/dL.

Manual Mode:

Manual Mode refers to system functions other than SmartGuard™ Auto Mode. In other words, if SmartGuard™ Auto Mode is not active, the system is in Manual Mode.
