Provide consent

  • If you’re already logged into Diabetes.shop, click on your profile photo to view your account details. Or log in to visit your profile page here.
  • Scroll down to “Communication preferences” and click on the plus sign.
  • Underneath the Personalized Insights communications category, select “On” to read the program details and provide consent. You will receive a copy of consent provided to your Medtronic email address on file.

Confirm that your data is uploading

Make sure your MiniMed™ 770G device is uploading to CareLink™ Personal every 2 weeks. This can be done automatically through the “Sync to CareLink” daily upload feature on the MiniMed™ Mobile app, or via the blue adapter.

Continue to wear your pump and sensor

Once you’ve given us permission and we have a few weeks of data, expect to get your first email. If you wear your system and data continues to upload, then you will receive monthly emails (since tips are related to the pump and sensor).

You would need to be using the Medtronic pump and sensor. We might have some options available to you if you would be interested in learning more about Medtronic continuous glucose monitoring. I am not sure if you’re aware, but Medicare now covers the Medtronic integrated system! Log in to www.Diabetes.shop/communication and scroll down to “Communication preferences.” Underneath the Personalized Insights communications category, select "Provide consent".
Now, you can get personalized insights and helpful tips based on your Medtronic data. Monthly emails include: Your latest Time in Range trends, opportunities and insights personalized from your data, unique support resources and achievement badges. If you opt in to Personalized Insights in your Diabetes.shop profile, you can receive trends and observations in a dashboard each month.

Once a month you will get an email from CustomerExperience@Medtronic.com.

My Insights leverages your CareLink™ Personal data to identify educational content that is most relevant to you based on what you may currently be experiencing. Monthly emails share unique resources and personalized tips to help encourage and empower you.
You need to have a CareLink™ Personal account with your device data uploading for us to be able to share your insights. If you use the MiniMed™ Mobile app and have “Sync” to CareLink turned on then your data will upload automatically. If you don’t use the app, we recommend uploading to CareLink™ Personal every 2 weeks.
No, if you’re using the app then your phone will automatically upload your data! To make sure that it’s connecting to CareLink™ Personal, tap on the three lines in the top left corner of the app and select the sync option. If it’s on, you will see a green bar on the next screen. If it’s turned off, you will see a white circle with no bar. Tap to turn on.

My Insights are powered by your full system, so you won’t receive insights if you’ve taken a pump or sensor break for longer than 14 days within the last month. We look forward to getting you back on track with your My Insights email.

If that’s not the case, here are some other reasons why your data might not be uploading:

  • Check to see if you’re still logged in to the MiniMed™ Mobile app.
  • Make sure "Sync to CareLink™" is turned on. Here’s how: Tap on the three lines in the top left corner of the app and select the sync option. If it’s on, you will see a green bar on the next screen. If it’s turned off, you will see a white circle with no bar. Tap to turn on.
  • Look at when the last app sync occurred. If it was more than 24 hours ago, tap “Upload Now”.

If you don’t use the app then upload to CareLink™ Personal every 2 weeks using the blue adapter. Still need help? Call 877-379-6242 to speak with a support representative Monday-Friday, 9AM-6PM CT.

There are a few simple steps to check to make sure you continue to receive emails. You should be able to answer yes to each of these:

  • Have you provided program consent more than two weeks ago?
  • Is your data uploading to CareLink™ Personal (via the MiniMed™ Mobile app with automatic syncs turned on, or through bi-weekly manual uploads with the blue adapter)?
  • Have you worn both your pump and sensor for more than two weeks in the last month?

Once you provide consent, it will send to the email address that we have on your Medtronic account. You will receive your first email within a couple of weeks, as soon as we have enough data available to share your insights.

Important Safety Information: MiniMed™ 770G System With SmartGuard™ Technology

The MiniMed™ 770G system is intended for continuous delivery of basal insulin (at user selectable rates) and administration of insulin boluses (in user selectable amounts) for the management of type 1 diabetes mellitus in persons two years of age and older requiring insulin as well as for the continuous monitoring and trending of glucose levels in the fluid under the skin. The MiniMed™ 770G System includes SmartGuard™ technology, which can be programmed to automatically adjust delivery of basal insulin based on continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensor glucose values (SG) and can suspend delivery of insulin when the SG value falls below or is predicted to fall below predefined threshold values.

The Medtronic MiniMed™ 770G System consists of the following devices: MiniMed™ 770G Insulin Pump, the Guardian™ Link (3) Transmitter, the Guardian™ Sensor (3), one-press serter, the Accu-Chek® Guide Link blood glucose meter, and the AccuChek®Guide Test Strips. The system requires a prescription.

The Guardian™ Sensor (3) has not been evaluated and is not intended to be used directly for making therapy adjustments, but rather to provide an indication of when a fingerstick may be required. All therapy adjustments should be based on measurements obtained using a blood glucose meter and not on values provided by the Guardian™ Sensor (3).

All therapy adjustments should be based on measurements obtained using the Accu-Chek® Guide Link blood glucose meter and not on values provided by the Guardian™ Sensor (3). Always check the pump display to ensure the glucose result shown agrees with the glucose results shown on the Accu-Chek® Guide Link blood glucose meter. Do not calibrate your CGM device or calculate a bolus using a blood glucose meter result taken from an alternative site. It is not recommended to calibrate your CGM device when sensor or blood glucose values are changing rapidly, e.g., following a meal or physical exercise.

WARNING: Do not use the SmartGuard™ Auto Mode for people who require less than 8 units or more than 250 units of total daily insulin per day. A total daily dose of at least 8 units, but no more than 250 units, is required to operate in SmartGuard™ Auto Mode.

WARNING: Do not use the MiniMed™ 770G system until appropriate training has been received from a healthcare professional. Training is essential to ensure the safe use of the MiniMed™ 770G system.

Pump therapy is not recommended for people whose vision or hearing does not allow recognition of pump signals and alarms. Pump therapy is not recommended for people who are unwilling or unable to maintain contact with their healthcare professional.
